April 11, 2024: Mahnomen, MN 56557 The Brandon/Evansville Chargers crushed the host Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Chargers now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle for a non-league bout on Monday, April 15. Brandon/Evansville will face a Thunder team coming off a 5-1 league win over Browerville (Browerville, MN). The Thunder record now stands at 1-0.
Next, the Thunderbirds face the Lake of the Woods Bears (Baudette, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 12. Mahnomen/Waubun will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Bears enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 18-1 non-league win over Kelliher/Northome (Northome, MN).
