Virginia High School Softball - Granby nudges Western Branch
April 11, 2024: Norfolk, VA 23505 Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Churchland for a Eastern challenge on Friday, April 12. Granby will face a Truckers squad coming off a 23-0 league win over Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA). The Truckers record now stands at 1-3.
With the loss, Western Branch falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Bruins host Greenbrier Christian Academy (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Gators in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Greenbrier Christian Academy won 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Atlantic Shores Christian (Chesapeake, VA)
