In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Hobart Brickies baseball team scored a close 17-16 victory over the Morgan Township Cherokees.

The Brickies (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN). The Wildcats enter the Northwest Crossroads game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Hanover Central held off Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN), 4-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Cherokees face the Portage Indians (Portage, IN) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 12. Morgan Township will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Indians enter the game with a 3-0 record after their 18-8 league win over Michigan City (Michigan City, IN).
