The East Central Eagles triumphed over the host McGregor Mercuries softball squad by a count of 14-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 14. East Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record. The Gobblers enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 12-8 non-league win over Mora (Mora, MN).

The Mercuries (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
