Texas High School Baseball - Franklin edges El Campo
April 11, 2026: Franklin, TX 77856 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) and the visiting El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX), saw Franklin's baseball team gain a win over El Campo by a tally of 4-2.
The Lions (22-1) will now prepare for their battle against Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Bumblebees enter the 3A Region III District 19 battle with a 20-4 record. In their last battle, Little River Academy held off Bartlett (Bartlett, TX), 20-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Ricebirds face the Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 29 battle, on Friday, April 17. El Campo will attempt to upgrade on its 16-9 season record. The Blackcats enter the battle with a 6-12 record after their 2-1 league loss to Brazosport (Freeport, TX).
