El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host McLane Highlanders (Fresno, CA), 18-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, El Capitan upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season. The Gauchos travel to Immanuel (Reedley, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 8-9. Immanuel lost 15-2 in their recent non-league test against Kerman (Kerman, CA)

With the defeat, McLane falls to 12-5 on the season. The Highlanders host Fresno (Fresno, CA) to battle the Warriors in a North Yosemite test on Wednesday, April 20.
