Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-Central Trojans (Sharpsville, IN), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Comets now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blackford for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. Eastern will face a Bruins squad coming off a 16-2 non-league win over Wabash (Wabash, IN). The Bruins record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Tri-Central falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Tipton (Tipton, IN) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Tipton lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Lewis Cass (Walton, IN)
