Massachusetts High School Softball - Newton North nudges Lincoln-Sudbury
April 12, 2022: Newtonville, MA 02460 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) and the visiting Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors (Sudbury, MA), saw Newton North's softball squad nip Lincoln-Sudbury by a count of 7-6.
The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Taunton for a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. Newton North will face a Tigers squad coming off a 21-1 non-league win over Canton (Canton, MA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Lincoln-Sudbury falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA) to face the Patriots in a Dual County Large match on Wednesday, April 13. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 0-1. Concord-Carlisle lost 10-9 in their recent non-league match against Chelmsford (North Chelmsford, MA)
