Washington High School Softball - Mt. Baker bounces Mount Vernon
April 12, 2022: Deming, WA 98244 Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), 11-1 in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 14. Mt. Baker will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Mount Vernon falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to face the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Burlington-Edison won 13-6 in their recent league challenge against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA)
