Illinois High School Baseball - Maroa-Forsyth wallops St. Teresa
April 12, 2023: Maroa, IL 61756 Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL), 11-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Maroa-Forsyth upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL) to battle the Vipers in a Sangamo test on Thursday, April 13. The Vipers come into the test with a record of 5-1. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly won 9-5 in their recent league test against Olympia (Stanford, IL)
With the defeat, St. Teresa drops to 12-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Tuscola (Tuscola, IL) to play the Warriors in a Central Illinois battle on Friday, April 14. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 1-11. Tuscola lost 23-17 in their recent non-league battle against Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL)
