Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Fort Meade Miners (Fort Meade, FL) and the host Ridge Community Bolts (Davenport, FL), saw Fort Meade's baseball squad knock off Ridge Community by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Miners play the Lake Placid Dragons (Lake Placid, FL) in a 3A District 7 battle, on Monday, April 15. Fort Meade will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Dragons enter the battle with a 8-12 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Clewiston (Clewiston, FL).
