April 12, 2024: Vestavia Hills, AL 35216 Vestavia Hills Rebels (Vestavia Hills, AL) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Baylor Red Raiders (Chattanooga, TN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Rebels confront the Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL) in a 7A Area 5 challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. Vestavia Hills will attempt to better on its 15-6 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 2-2 non-league Sparkman (Harvest, AL).
The Red Raiders now have a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oak Mountain for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Baylor will confront a Eagles team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Montgomery Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 21-0.
