Illinois High School Softball - Naperville Central loses to Downers Grove South
April 12, 2024: Naperville, IL 60540 The Downers Grove South Mustangs softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Naperville Central Redhawks to 5 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Downers Grove South improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Proviso East (Maywood, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a West Suburban - Gold game on Monday, April 15. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 0-2. Proviso East lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against De La Salle (Chicago, IL)
In their next game, the Redhawks clash with the St. Charles North North Stars (St. Charles, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 13. Naperville Central will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The North Stars come into the game with a 3-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL).
