San Tan Charter Roadrunners (Gilbert, AZ) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host Bagdad Sultans (Bagdad, AZ), 2-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, San Tan Charter advances its record to 15-1 on the season. The Roadrunners host Gilbert Classical Academy (Gilbert, AZ) to play the Spartans in a 2A East game on Monday, April 14. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 5-8. Gilbert Classical Academy won 7-4 in their recent non-league game against Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ)

Next, the Sultans play the Maryvale Prep Matador (Phoenix, AZ) in a 1A West game, on Tuesday, April 15. Bagdad will attempt to improve on its 15-4 season record. The Matador go into the game with a 1-10 record after their 26-0 league loss to Valley Lutheran (Phoenix, AZ).
