Illinois High School Baseball - Plainfield South nips Schaumburg
April 12, 2025: Plainfield, IL 60544 The Plainfield South Cougars baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Schaumburg Saxons to 6 in the Cougars non-league win on Saturday.
The Cougars now hold a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oswego for a Southwest Prairie test on Monday, April 14. Plainfield South will play a Panthers team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 11-1.
With the defeat, Schaumburg drops to 5-8 on the year. The Saxons travel to Barrington (Barrington, IL) to play the Fillies/Broncos in a Mid-Suburban - West test on Monday, April 14. The Fillies/Broncos go into the test with a record of 7-3. Barrington won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL)
