The Tyrone Golden Eagles baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Portage Mustangs to 1 in the Golden Eagles non-league win on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntingdon for a Laurel Highlands East test on Monday, April 14. Tyrone will play a Bearcats team coming off a 3-0 league win over Bellefonte (Bellefonte, PA). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, Portage drops to 2-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to River Valley (Blairsville, PA) to play the Panthers in a Heritage test on Monday, April 14. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 1-7. River Valley won 10-4 in their recent league test against Marion Center (Marion Center, PA)
