California High School Baseball - Wilcox nips Santa Cruz
April 12, 2025: Santa Cruz, CA 95060 The Wilcox Chargers baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Santa Cruz Cardinals to 5 in the Chargers non-league win on Saturday.
The Chargers now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they host Live Oak for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 16. Wilcox will play a Acorns team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Willow Glen (San Jose, CA). The Acorns record now stands at 7-9.
With the defeat, Santa Cruz drops to 8-4 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Harbor (Santa Cruz, CA) to play the Pirates in a Santa Cruz Coast test on Tuesday, April 15. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 11-3. Harbor lost 9-2 in their recent league test against Soquel (Soquel, CA)
