North Carolina High School Soccer - Cape Fear Academy knocks off Newton-Conover
April 12, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28412 In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 victory over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.
The Hurricanes (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Patriots go into the NCISAA Coastal Plain outing with a 5-10 record. In their last outing, Arendell Parrott Academy by Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC), 2-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Red Devils confront the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A outing, on Tuesday, April 15. Newton-Conover will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a 7-5 record after their 1-0 league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).
