Illinois High School Baseball - Taylorville loses to Mt. Zion
April 12, 2025: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), 5-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Mt. Zion advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Braves travel to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to battle the Trojans in a non-league match on Monday, April 14. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 1-1. Maroa-Forsyth won 11-1 in their recent non-league match against Riverton (Riverton, IL)
The Tornadoes now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincolnwood for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 22.
