April 12, 2025: Pontiac, IL 61764 The Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) softball routed the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 8-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Indians now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rantoul for a Illini Prairie outing on Monday, April 14. Pontiac will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 6-3 league loss to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Auburn moves to 9-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to encounter the Cyclones in a non-league outing on Monday, April 14. The Cyclones come into the outing with a record of 4-3. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 5-4 in their recent non-league match against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL)
