The Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) softball the visiting Mercy Jaguars (Louisville, KY), 10-8 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Lions now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairview for a District 64 outing on Monday, April 14. Boyd County will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.
