April 13, 2022: Buras, LA 70041 In Wednesday's league challenge, the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) baseball squad triumphed over the host South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), by a final score of 15-1.
With the win, St. Charles Catholic upgrades its record to 20-9 on the season. The Comets travel to Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 18. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Covenant Christian Academy won 6-2 in their recent non-league test against St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA)
With the loss, South Plaquemines drops to 4-5 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Newman (New Orleans, LA) to face the Greenies in a 2A District 11 bout on Thursday, April 14. The Greenies enter the bout with a record of 6-6. Newman won 10-0 in their recent non-league bout against Riverdale (Jefferson, LA)
