New York High School Softball - Hannibal bounces Phoenix
April 13, 2023: Phoenix, NY 13135 Hannibal Warriors (Hannibal, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Phoenix Firebirds (Phoenix, NY), 24-3 in a league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jordan-Elbridge for a Section 3 Liberty challenge on Friday, April 14. Hannibal will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Fabius Pompey (Fabius, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Phoenix falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Mexico (Mexico, NY) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Mexico won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Homer (Homer, NY)
