April 13, 2024: West Jefferson, OH 43162 The West Jefferson Roughriders nudged the visiting Newark Catholic Green Wave baseball team by a tally of 11-10 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Roughriders now hold a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Triad for a Ohio Heritage North bout on Monday, April 15. West Jefferson will face a Cardinals team coming off a 17-5 league loss to Madison Plains (London, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-7.
Next, the Green Wave face the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH) in a Licking County bout, on Monday, April 15. Newark Catholic will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Johnnies enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Fredericktown (Fredericktown, OH).
