Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), 11-9 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA) to battle the Wolverine in a WPIAL 3A 1 test on Tuesday, April 19. The Wolverine come into the test with a record of 3-4. Lincoln lost 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Riverside (Ellwood City, PA)

With the defeat, Central Valley falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA) to play the Panthers in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 21. The Panthers enter the battle with a record of 7-1.
