Illinois High School Soccer - Quincy nudges Springfield
April 14, 2022: Quincy, IL 62301 Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils confront the Rock Bridge Bruins (Columbia, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 18. Quincy will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Ursuline Academy (St. Louis, MO).
The Senators now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they host Springfield Southeast for a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Springfield will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Beardstown (Beardstown, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 3-4.
