Kentucky High School Softball - Elliott County knocked off by Lewis County
April 14, 2022: Vanceburg, KY 41179 In Thursday's non-league contest, the Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY), by a margin of 15-0.
With the triumph, Lewis County moves its record to 12-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV) to play the Panthers in a non-league contest on Friday, April 15. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 10-1. Lincoln County lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Hoover (Clendenin, WV)
In their next game, the Lions play the West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) in a District 62 contest, on Monday, April 18. Elliott County will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Comets come into the contest with a 2-8 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH).
