Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 7-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Braves in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, April 18. The Braves come into the test with a record of 6-3. Indian River won 23-2 in their recent non-league test against Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA)

With the defeat, Currituck County falls to 13-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC) to battle the Panthers in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A test on Tuesday, April 18. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 12-3.
