Illinois High School Softball - Naperville Central gets by Downers Grove South
April 14, 2023: Downers Grove, IL 60516 The Naperville Central Redhawks nipped the host Downers Grove South Mustangs softball squad by a final score of 5-4 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Redhawks (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL). The North Stars go into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, St. Charles North held off Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Mustangs now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Willowbrook for a West Suburban - Gold battle on Monday, April 17. Downers Grove South will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Argo (Summit, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 9-2.
