Illinois High School Softball - Fairfield gets by Lawrenceville
April 14, 2023: Fairfield, IL 62837 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL) and the visiting Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL), witnessed Fairfield's softball squad tip Lawrenceville by a count of 9-8.
The Mules now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hamilton County for a Black Diamond East match on Tuesday, April 18. Fairfield will face a Foxes squad coming off a 19-1 league win over Eldorado (Eldorado, IL). The Foxes record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Lawrenceville moves to 5-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL) to face the Warriors in a Little Illini match on Monday, April 17. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 18-1. Casey-Westfield won 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL)
