Illinois High School Softball - Kelly bounces Little Village
April 14, 2023: Chicago, IL 60623 Kelly Trojans (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Little Village Phoenix (Chicago, IL), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Trojans now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lindblom for a Chicago Prep challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Kelly will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 17-4 league win over Solorio (Chicago, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
With the loss, Little Village falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Roosevelt (Chicago, IL) to battle the Rough Riders in a Chicago Public Blue challenge on Monday, April 17. The Rough Riders enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Roosevelt lost 18-1 in their recent league challenge against Prosser (Chicago, IL)
