Virginia High School Baseball - Herndon holds off Western Branch
April 14, 2025: Herndon, VA 20170 The Herndon Hornets baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Western Branch Bruins to 1 in the Hornets non-league win on Monday.
The Hornets now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stratford for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. Herndon will clash with a Knights team coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA). The Knights record now stands at 13-2.
With the defeat, Western Branch drops to 6-2 on the year. The Bruins travel to James Island (Charleston, SC) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 15. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 14-3. James Island won 6-2 in their recent league test against Fort Dorchester (North Charleston, SC)
