Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY), 12-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Allen County-Scottsville upgrades its record to 14-3 on the year. The Patriots travel to Bowling Green (Bowling Green, KY) to play the Purples in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 15. The Purples enter the game with a record of 7-6.

The Lakers now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Metcalfe County for a District 16 game on Thursday, April 17. Russell County will play a Hornets squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 4-5.
