Delta Eagles (Muncie, IN) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 10-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, Delta improves its record to 2-3 on the year. The Eagles host Northeastern (Fountain City, IN) to play the Knights in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 15. The Knights enter the game with a record of 2-1. Northeastern won 6-5 in their recent league game against Knightstown (Knightstown, IN)

The Trojans now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shelbyville for a Hoosier Heritage game on Tuesday, April 15. New Castle will play a Golden Bears squad coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 4-5.
