Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Arab for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Sardis will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Knights record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Piedmont falls to 5-4 on the campaign.
