In Saturday's league game, the visiting Bishop O'Connell Knights baseball team scored a tight 7-1 victory over the Bishop Ireton Cardinals.

The Knights (12-6) will now prepare for their game against Paul VI (Chantilly, VA). The Panthers go into the Washington Catholic game with a 12-6 record. In their last game, Paul VI tipped Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC), 3-0, in a non-league game.

The Cardinals (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Lions go into the Washington Catholic game with a 8-12 record. In their last game, Archbishop Carroll was overwhelmed by St. John's (Washington, DC), 15-0, in a league game.
