New York High School Baseball - Sayre loses to Waverly
April 15, 2023: Waverly, NY 14892 The Waverly Wolverines baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Sayre Redskins to 3 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wolverines (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Notre Dame (Elmira, NY). The Crusaders go into the Section 4 Interscholastic - Large South match with a 4-5 record. In their last match, Notre Dame edged Groton (Groton, NY), 14-4, in a non-league match.
The Redskins (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Cowanesque Valley (Westfield, PA). The Indians go into the Northern Tier - Eastern match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Cowanesque Valley was overwhelmed by Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA), 5-2, in a non-league match.
