Evansville Central Bears (Evansville, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN), 6-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Evansville Central upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Bears host Evansville Memorial (Evansville, IN) to battle the Tigers in a Southern Indiana match on Tuesday, April 16. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 3-3. Evansville Memorial lost 5-1 in their recent non-league match against Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, KY)

The Pioneers (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Washington (Washington, IN). The Hatchets go into the Pocket match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Washington was overwhelmed by Vincennes Lincoln (Vincennes, IN), 4-1, in a non-league match.
