Virginia High School Soccer - Buckingham toppled by Appomattox County
April 15, 2025: Appomattox, VA 24522 Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Appomattox County advances its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Chatham (Chatham, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Dogwood test on Wednesday, April 23. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Chatham 0-0 in their recent non-league test against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA)
The Knights now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nottoway for a James River test on Thursday, April 17. Buckingham will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 8-1 league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
