Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) fans left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), 11-10 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Ashbrook advances its record to 7-11 on the season. The Greenwave travel to South Point (Belmont, NC) to battle the Red Raiders in a non-league match on Friday, April 17. The Red Raiders come into the match with a record of 14-3. South Point won 8-4 in their recent non-league match against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

The Knights now have a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Stanly for a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A match on Friday, April 17. Gray Stone Day will battle a Comets squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Southeast Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Comets record now stands at 15-3.
