Pine Lake Prep Pride (Mooresville, NC) boosters exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their baseball team gain a win over the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 17-6 in a non-league battle.

The Pride (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights enter the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Lake Norman Charter was overwhelmed by South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 8-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 16. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Pumas enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 11-8 non-league win over Independence (Charlotte, NC).
