Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Hopewell nips Central Valley

April 16, 2021: Aliquippa, PA 15001

Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), 9-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Vikings host Lincoln (Ellwood City, PA) to battle the Wolverine in a WPIAL 3A 1 test on Monday, April 19. The Wolverine come into the test with a record of 4-6. Lincoln lost 9-4 in their recent non-league test against North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA)

With the defeat, Central Valley falls to 3-7 on the season. The Warriors travel to Mars (Mars, PA) to battle the Fightin' Planets in a non-league test on Monday, April 19. The Fightin' Planets come into the test with a record of 4-3. Mars lost 6-5 in their recent league test against Plum (Pittsburgh, PA)
