April 16, 2022: Meriden, CT 06450 Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT), 11-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Northwestern Regional upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Highlanders host Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT) to battle the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Monday, April 18. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 2-1.
With the defeat, Maloney falls to 2-4 on the season. The Spartans host East Hartford (East Hartford, CT) to battle the Hornets in a non-league test on Monday, April 18. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 1-2. East Hartford won 6-5 in their recent league test against South Windsor (South Windsor, CT)
