South Carolina High School Softball - James F. Byrnes nudges East Rutherford
April 16, 2022: Duncan, SC 29334 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC) and the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), saw James F. Byrnes's softball squad nip East Rutherford by a count of 6-5.
The Rebels now sport a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Alamance for a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. James F. Byrnes will face a Patriots squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 10-4.
With the loss, East Rutherford falls to 15-3 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 16. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 9-3. Wayne Christian won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC)
