Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA), 4-3 in a league test.

With the win, Downingtown East upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Cougars host Kennett (Kennett Square, PA) to battle the Blue Demons in a Ches-Mont test on Thursday, April 18. The Blue Demons come into the test with a record of 3-5. Kennett lost 10-3 in their recent league test against East (West Chester, PA)

With the defeat, Sun Valley falls to 2-7 on the season. The Vanguards travel to Great Valley (Malvern, PA) to battle the Patriots in a Ches-Mont test on Thursday, April 18.
