Ohio High School Softball - Ellet bounces Independence
April 16, 2024: Akron, OH 44312 The Ellet Orangemen routed the visiting Independence Blue Devils softball squad by a final score of 9-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Orangemen (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Roosevelt (Kent, OH). The Rough Riders go into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Roosevelt was routed by Highland (Medina, OH), 13-0, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lutheran West for a Chagrin Valley - Metro battle on Wednesday, April 17. Independence will meet a Longhorns squad coming off a 19-3 league loss to Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-1.
