April 16, 2024: Elmwood Park, IL 60707 Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridgewood for a Metro Suburban challenge on Thursday, April 18. Elmwood Park will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Timothy Christian (Elmhurst, IL). The Rebels record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Jones falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hancock (Chicago, IL) to battle the Eagles in a Chicago Public Red challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Hancock lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Lane Tech (Chicago, IL)
