April 17, 2024: Mechanicsville, VA 23111 Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 22. Freeman will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Rapids enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 10-0 league win over L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA).
The Mustangs now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Atlee for a Capital challenge on Thursday, April 18. Mechanicsville will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Varina (Richmond, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-5.
