The Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA) baseball trounced the visiting Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA), 15-9 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host Armstrong for a WPIAL 4A 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Franklin Regional will clash with a River Hawks team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Valley (New Kensington, PA). The River Hawks record now stands at 6-7.

With the defeat, Gateway drops to 6-7 on the year. The Gators travel to Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA) to clash with the Jaguars in a WPIAL 5A 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Thomas Jefferson lost 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Montour (McKees Rocks, PA)
