April 17, 2025: New Berlin, IL 62670 Spectators at Thursday's league challenge between the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) and the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL), witnessed New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly's baseball team hold off Maroa-Forsyth by a count of 1-0.
The Vipers now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Greenfield/Northwestern for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 19. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.
With the defeat, Maroa-Forsyth drops to 9-4 on the year. The Trojans travel to Pontiac (Pontiac, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 19.
